Mariam got lost in a foreign country

When I was child I used to be a trouble maker. I remember that when we were traveling to Iran. When I was 13 years old .I lost my grand mother in a shop. It was a very crowded shop
and my grand mother told me don’t let go of my hand, but I didn’t listen to her and I let go of her hand. Because I saw a very nice toy like Barbie doll .Saddnley I looked right, left and I didn’t see her. I started crying when a man sow me and asked me are you lost and I answerd yes. I felt worried and scared. He took me to the police and told him that I’m lost. So he started searching. After along time of searching we found grandmother and she was very worried about me. When she saw me she give me a big hug and I promised her I would’nt do that again .

Ayana's sad birthday

I can’t forget the 23rd of October in 2002. This day was my 12th birthday. I had a school, and in the morning I prepared to my school. Then my mom asked me. ‘What do you want to eat tonight?’ I thought this question is must be the dinner for my birthday party. So I answered to her. ‘Up to you.’ My mom’s dishes are always delicious. And I left my house. At the school a lot of friends said to me ‘HAPPY BIRTH DAY.’
I felt happy. And at this time, I was a Cinderella!! I finished my school, while I was walking down the street to my home, I was thinking about my birthday party. And I went back home as soon as I possible could. I went back home and, I realized…. ‘Something smells different…..It smells like curry…? Why?’ I ran into the kitchen. And I saw the dishes…. It was curry. But I thought it must be a surprise party. My mom was hiding my cake. After dinner, Nobody said to me ‘’ HAPPY BIRTHDAY’ and my birthday passed. Next day I told my mom yesterday was my birthday. My mom said to me….”Oh my god!!!! I forgot…. I am very sorry.” This is my sad memory of my birthday.

Shinsuke was made to run

When I was a child, I was a little selfish. On the holiday, I came to a
ground to join a baseball team because my friends offered me. The day was a
holiday. I came a ground to join a baseball team. At first, it was very
interesting. I played catch and batting with some trainers while other
teammates were running. The trainers taught me kindly when one of my
friends was being shouted at by another trainer.
Suddenly, one of trainers called me. He was the oldest in the team. I
thought that he would say something bad. Yes, it was true
…. ‘What are you doing? They are running. You must run with them!’ He
said.
‘No. Thank you. I want to play batting now, I will run later.’ I thought
it so I said it innocently. Then he hit my head with the top of a bat! I
didn’t know what happened at that moment. Of course, it was very painful and I
was angry! I was just playing batting! But the other trainers were on his
side because he was the oldest. It is a terrible culture in Japan. I had to
run for much more time than the other teammates! When I finished running, I
fell down on the ground. I was so angry then, but later, I talked with my
friends and I realized that it was a selfish excuse. Teamwork is the most
important thing for baseball, maybe the trainer wanted to teach it to me.
Since then, I kept playing baseball for 4 years. I like baseball even now.

Phoebe got lost

When I was very young child about 5~6 years old.
I went downtown with my mother. I used to follow her and grasp her hand. That day, we went to many shops and stores. I was following her too.
I was very excited. I was looking at new places and something else. Suddenly, I noticed that my mum disappeared. I was very frighted and panicked. And I was crying.
“Where are you mum~~?”
I went straight along the road. But I couldn’t find her and got lost on the road.I cried more loudly. At that time, I heard my mother’s voice behind my back.
“Eun ju!!”
We met after one hour. “I’m sorry my daughter. I thought you were following me.” We were hugging and crying together. After this incident, I always grasped my mother’s hand tightly.

Song Loc wanted to ride a bike

I remember when I was six years old. I used to go to a park with my mum at the weekend. I looked at people who were older than me. They played games and rode a bicycle. I ready liked to do it. I wanted to ride a bike.

When I came back home. I was very sad and told with my father “ I want to try riding “. After that day, my father bought a bicycle for me.

From that time, I used to exercise with my mum at the park. Day after day, I went to the park and tried ride, but I didn’t like my mum to help. I wanted to ride alone. I told to my mum “ I don’t need you, I can ride by myself” so my mum didn’t help me.

As a result, I fell down, I cried a lot. I had really hurt my jaw and I saw blood. I was scared. When my mum came to me, I embraced her. She discovered one my teeth fell down.

I am Jenna , I’m from Yantai in China. It is seaside city. When I arrived Dunedin, I lived with my homeparents. My homeparents are old people. They haven’t job.. Sometime, they go for a walk with their old dog. They often watch TV all day. Now I’m living a flat. I have an extended family. I have a older sister. I love her very much.

I like playing badminton. Sometimes ,I play badminton with my neighbour. Although I play basminton not very well, but It’s happly that I do active. I also like swimming. I like reading books. When I am In my country, I reading novel every day. Now I can’t read Chinese books, because its can’t help me to study English. I use computer every day. I usually watch movies listen to music and chat with my friends on my computer. I like shopping. In ma free time, I like shopping with my friends. I like Chinese food,. but there aren’t traditional Chinese food. I also can’t cook Chinese food, but my friends cook Chinese food very well. I’m learning Chinese food.

Today I get up half past seven. I go to school at about 8 ‘ o clock. I ate two piece of bread and a cup of milk. I do my housework twice a week.

Jamie enjoys jogging

My name is Jamie. I’m from Nanjing in China. I don’t have any brothers or sisters. I am a apple of my parents’ eye, so they sent me to go abroad to study. Before I came here, l lived with my parents in a flat in the center city. I has been in Dunedin for 4 months. I am living in a Homestay. My host parents are very kind, they take care of my life very well. They have two children, one daughter and one son and we are friends. I am very glad to live with them.
Well, actually I don’t like any Sport except jogging. I really enjoy it. And I always go walking with my friends. It’s quite a good chance to do some exercise and communicate with my friends in English. In my spare time, I spend too much time sleeping and when I wake up I spend most of my time to watch movies. That’s cool. I like eating, shopping and traveling but I don’t have enough money and time to do these. So I sometimes do these things in my dreams.
My daily life is regular. I always get up at 7 o’clock and have a simple breakfast and go out by bus. Then I have a busy day. When I came back home everything is done for me. I have big a dinner with my host parents. This is my life, this is me!
